"Tarot" - A New short Film Complete

This last month, I reached the end of production for my latest short film "Tarot" which is now circulating in festivals throughout the Midwest region. It follows the story of an estranged couple who try to redeem each other through the woman's witch practices, ultimately leading their connection to perish. This simple concept was crafted out of a feature script I was attempting to write awhile back, before I decided the bar was a little too high for me at the time.

Since I have not made many serious works of my own since graduating from my film school and hoping between several jobs since, I wanted to take some additional time to experiment with my sense of emotional direction. At this time, it is clear that my skills in direction are not as polished as in post-production, and I will need to continue with projects of this size while slowly increasing their complexity along the way. Miraculously, delaying this shoot for several months over the expected schedule allowed me to rehearse the visuals shot by shot in my mind to a near-perfected degree by the time we did get down to doing so.

I plan on pursuing more short films in the near future, some of which will be based off of scripts I have had in my possession since the start of my college years.
